Meet the team
Our people
People are an integral part of any business. Our people are an enthusiastic and dedicated bunch, all driven by a passion for design, print and sign writing; from administration through to our production team. It’s about working together - we know that two heads are better than one. Crossroads Concepts employ 7 people in various roles and functions, we ensure all employees maintain a customer driven attitude and determination to improve their performance levels. Our sales team and graphic designers not only work directly with you to develop a creative marketing solution, they also collaborate with the production team on your projects. This collaborative approach ensures your satisfaction on every single project.
Tony Mitchell - Director
What he does: Manages the girls in the office (they let him think that), quotes most jobs, and is the best juggler we know. Printing runs in his veins, as Tony jokes, he's been in the print trade for nearly 100 years! Tony's “outside the box” thinking finds the answer for any situation that presents itself, making Tony our go to man. He has also reached the age where he starts most stories with "Back in my day . . . "
Favourite Food: Scotch Whisky.
Hobbies: Motor Sport, IPSC Shooting.
Shane Packard - Director
What he does: Nobody knows what Shane does, but we suspect he’s out and about in the truck travelling the countryside, up the scaffold installing signs or talking to our clients. Shane does a lot of the "project" jobs and the bulk of the quoting. There is nothing Shane doesn’t know about signs. His experience has us doing some amazing work in the region.
Favourite Food: Pork Chops and Nannygai.
Hobbies: Running, Watching the Footy, Fishing, Shack Life, Wind Surfing.
Amber Edwards - Administration Officer
What she does: Amber is your first point of contact. She keeps us all in line and she thinks she knows where everything is. Bookkeeper extraordinaire, avid list maker and keeper of all knowledge. She’s our favourite because she processes the pays.
Favourite Food: Something that is cooked for her, but nothing she’s cooked herself.
Hobbies: Bingeing Netflix and Sports, being our Office Mum and adding hilarity to every day.
Megan Collins - Senior Graphic Designer
What she does: Megan draws the pretty pictures. She’s the girl who takes your collection of abstract ideas and helps you turn them into a strong visual concept which will grab the attention of your target market. She manages the girls in the office - which is pretty much like herding cats!
Favourite Food: Ribs, Buffalo Wings and anything Mexican (including Tequila).
Hobbies: Reading, Jump Rope, Going Camping with her Boys, Making Lists.
James Rago-Thomas - Sign Maker Extraordinaire
What he does: James began working with us as an Apprentice & is now our fully qualified Signage Production Tradesman. Affectionately called Jimmy, Jimbo, Jim-Bob, Thomas… James is enthusiastic and willing to work through every stage of signwriting, taking our designs from the screen and bringing them to life.
Favourite Food: James seems to thrive on the finest local takeaway cuisine.
Hobbies: Caring for his Cats, Listening to Podcasts & becoming the next Karate Kid.
Lexi Clarke - Graphic Designer
What she does: Lexi is our new Graphic Designer. A little quirky, very studious and extremely talented, Lexi is completing her Diploma in Graphic Design all while turning your ideas into reality.
Favourite Food: Cucumbers, and anything that Grandma bakes.
Hobbies: Illustration, Travelling, Herding Chickens on her Sims Farm.
James Kennedy - Workshop & Production
What he does: If there’s a job to be done, James is your man! A Jack of all trades and master of…..most, you’ll find James lurking in the depths of our Workshop. He’s Shane’s right hand man when it comes to Installs, Manufacture and Deliveries. You name it, he’ll do it.
Favourite Food: His daily banana (always kept safely in his top pocket).
Hobbies: Long Motorbike Rides on the Highway, Playing his 19 Guitars, using the last of the kettle water before Amber makes her morning coffee.
